I am currently looking for participants for 2 studies:

 

Developing a tool to measure meltdowns and shutdowns in autistic adults

Principal Investigators (PI): Laura Foran Lewis, RN, PhD  
Student Investigators: Abigail Burfoot, Meg Cleary, Mia Layton, & Molly Page

The purpose of this study is to create a tool that can be used by clinicians to learn more about meltdowns and shutdowns when working with adults on the autism spectrum.  This survey was developed based on interviews with autistic adults about their experiences with meltdowns and shutdowns. Participation includes answering questions in an online survey and will likely take about 10-15 minutes to complete.

Food Choices and Eating Behaviors in Autistic Adults

Principal Investigators (PI): Jennifer Laurent, APRN, PhD & Laura Foran Lewis, RN, PhD  

The purpose of this study is to describe the food choices, eating behaviors, and how they might influence weight in autistic adults without cognitive impairment. Participation includes answering questions in an online survey and will likely take about 10-15 minutes to complete.
